La Olmeda Roman Villa

One of the great Roman villas of Hispania, with outstanding mosaics, in Pedrosa de la Vega.

Area: Pedrosa de la Vega

The La Olmeda Roman villa, in Pedrosa de la Vega, is one of the most important Roman sites on the Iberian Peninsula. It was discovered in 1968 and is a large late-Roman country residence.

Its main attraction is the mosaics, large and very well preserved, covering several rooms. A modern building protects the remains and lets you walk around them on raised walkways, with explanations of life in the villa.

It is an easy and very rewarding visit for families. Check opening hours and booking on the museum’s official website, as they change by season.
